The American Gaming Association (AGA) has released a new report highlighting the alarming growth of the illegal gambling market in the United States. The comprehensive analysis, conducted by The Innovation Group on behalf of the AGA, reveals that unlawful iGaming, sports betting, and skill games have expanded significantly since 2022 — now making up nearly one-third of the total U.S. gaming market.

This surge in unregulated gambling poses major risks to players, deprives governments of critical tax revenue, and undermines the integrity of legal gaming operators

As the national trade group representing the legal U.S. casino industry, the AGA is advocating for stronger enforcement, enhanced regulations, and greater public awareness to combat the rapidly expanding black market.
