The American Gaming Association (AGA) has released new findings on social sweepstakes players, shedding light on their motivations and perceptions of these platforms.
According to the survey, 68% of social sweepstakes players participate in these contests primarily to win real money. Additionally, 90% of respondents consider sweepstakes casinos to be a form of gambling, highlighting widespread skepticism about these platforms.
In response to these insights, the AGA is urging lawmakers to implement appropriate regulations to ensure consumer protection and transparency in the rapidly growing sweepstakes and social casino sector.
This latest report is part of the AGA’s ongoing efforts to better understand emerging gaming formats and advocate for responsible and fair industry practices.
